Arithmetic quantum chaos on the unit sphere

Arithmetic quantum chaos concerns the behavior of high-energy
Hecke--Laplace eigenfunctions. In this talk, I will begin with background
on the algebraic structures and harmonic analysis of the unit sphere, then
discuss the current state of research and present my ongoing joint work
with Maximiliano Sanchez Garza on the large fluctuations of arithmetic
spherical harmonics.
