Real rational curves in the plane and in space

We review our current state of knowledge on geometry and
topology of real algebraic curves, particularly those of genus 0. We
shall look at the curves in the real projective plane and space from
the tropical viewpoint. The first interesting case (both in 2D and 3D)
is given by curves of degree 5.
