Geometric Topology Seminar We will discuss a topological grading on bordered Heegaard Floer homology defined by Lipshitz-Ozsvath-Thurston. In particular there is a grading on the strand algebra by plane fields. Surprisingly, this is closely related to contact categories defined by K. Honda. This is a work in progress and is partially joint with V. Gripp.
