During this talk, I would like to give an overview of the delooping theorems as well as applications to spaces of long embeddings. In particular, we show that spaces of long embeddings (such as knots or links) and spaces of partial immersions are weakly equivalent to explicit iterated loop spaces. All of them can be expressed in terms of derived mapping spaces of operads. Such identifications can be used to understand the rational homotopy groups of embedding spaces.
