
The IMPRS for Moduli Spaces [2] is a joint project of the Max Planck Institute for Mathematics [3] and the University of Bonn [4]. It is an extension of the Bonn International Graduate School in Mathematics (BIGS-Mathematics) [5] in the specific research direction of moduli spaces [6]. The IMPRS is sponsored by the Max Planck Society [7].
Program
Students enroll in a doctoral program of Bonn University. Supervision is assigned individually by a Thesis Committee (10 Professors from MPIM and Bonn University). Ph.D. should be finished within 2-3 years. Program/Dissertation/Exams are in English or German. Continuous supervision from the student's home university is possible. In exceptional cases, it is also possible to graduate from the home university. The IMPRS applies the European Credit Transfer System for Lectures.

Requirements: German Diploma, Master of Science or equivalent. Depending on academic qualification, admission is for a qualifying year or directly for the Ph.D. work. Proof of proficiency in English (TOEFL [9]-test or equivalent qualification).
