Cohomology of rigid analytic spaces

This talk considers the cohomology theories of rigid analytic spaces, with a focus on spaces that might be singular. We will first recall the classical cohomology theories in complex algebraic geometry, including singular cohomology and various de Rham cohomology theories, together with their relations. We then generalize them to their p-adic counterparts using the simplicial method and the resolution of singularities. We will see that cohomology theories in the p-adic world enjoy many good properties as in the complex geometry, even when the space admits singularities.
