Special online colloquium between IHES and MPIM

Robert Penner [4] is a mathematician known for his works in geometry and combinatorics of moduli spaces, and holding the Rene Thom Chair in mathematical biology at IHES. In the past, he and coauthors have developed geometric tools to study RNA and protein folding. He recently became interested in viruses, notably to identify potentially interesting sites in glycoproteins present in the coronavirus responsible for the current epidemy. He will present this work during the talk, Thursday 25th June 3-4.30pm local time.
