This mini-course aims to make use of Spin^c geometry to study special hypersurfaces. For this, we begin by selecting basic facts about Spin^c structures and the Dirac operator on Riemannian manifolds and their hypersurfaces. We end by giving a generalized Lawson correspondence for constant mean curvature surfaces in 3-dimensional Thurston geometries
