On dualizable objects in monoidal bicategories, framed surfaces and the Cobordism Hypothesis

I will talk about the subject of my Master's thesis, which concerns the coherence theory of dualizable objects in monoidal bicategories and a diagrammatic calculus of framed surfaces. The latter leads to a presentation of the framed bordism bicategory and thus a complete classification of two-dimensional framed topological field theories in terms of a small amount of data. I will explain how these two subjects are related to the Cobordism Hypothesis.
