Cohomological invariants of algebraic groups

A cohomological invariant of an algebraic group G
is a natural assignment to every principal homogeneous space
of G over a field a Galois cohomology class with coefficients
in a fixed Galois module. In the talk, I will discuss recent
results on the computation of degree 3 invariants of
reductive groups and their potential applications.
