Wed, 26/05/2021 - 14:30 - 15:30 Previously, false theta functions were only known to exhibit quantum

modular transformation properties. Recently, Bringmann and Nazaroglu

discovered new modularity properties of false theta functions by using

parallels to the study of indefinite theta functions and mock modular

forms. I will discuss these developments and present generalizations to

higher rank cases by Bringmann, Milas, Nazaroglu, and myself.
