Dualities in tricategories and 3-dimensional topology

Defects in 3-dimensional topological field theories naturally exhibit the structure of a tricategory. Orientation reversal imposes dualities on the tricategories. In this talk, three notions of tricategories with duals are defined, we discuss the relation between these notions and their calculus using 3-dimensional diagrams.We show that bimodule categories over fusion categories with a bimodule trace provide a suitable tricategory with duals and sketch possible applications in 3-dimensional TFTs.
