Dynamical filtrations are certain filtrations on the (1,1)-part of the second cohomology H^2(X) associated to a compact Kähler manifold X endowed with a zero entropy group action. They capture various pieces of information about the group action, and yield upper bounds of several dynamical invariants (some of them optimal). In this talk, we will first introduce what dynamical filtrations are and survey some results obtained in joint works with T.-C. Dinh, K. Oguiso, D.-Q. Zhang. We will also discuss the possible geometric origin of dynamical filtrations.
