Silting theory is a relatively recent generalization of tilting theory. I will give an overview about the main players in silting theory, i.e. t-structures, weight structures (aka co-t-structures), simple-minded collections, and silting objects, and how these are related to each other by the WT correspondence. I will
also explain how one can construct new instances from given ones by
mutating and gluing. The second part will be about large (meaning
non-compact) silting objects.
