Research talk: Multiscale dynamics and some applications

In nature one can often observe rapid changes in time or space, alternated with periods or regions with very similar patterns. Mathematically such behaviour can often be modelled by differential equations with both small and large parameters, giving rise to slow and fast dynamics. In this talk we give an introduction to such differential equations and discuss some applications.
