Student Seminar (Tropical Geometry and Topology Program) The phylogenetic semigroup on a graph is a subset of the set of all labelings of the edges of the graph by nonnegative integers. In this talk, I will give the exact definition and review some results about minimal generators of phylogenetic semigroups by Buczyńska, Buczyński, Michałek, Wiśniewski, and myself.
