Talk 3: Representations of p-adic groups and Hecke algebras

The representation theory of p-adic groups has been a powerful tool for studying automorphic forms. In this talk I will give an overview of our understanding of the category of (smooth complex) representations of p-adic groups with a focus on recent developments and work in progress.
