Determining the rational points on a curve of genus 2 and Mordell-Weil rank 1

We give an overview of the main ingredients underlying the implementation of the function RationalPointsGenus2 in Magma in the case of curves of Mordell-Weil rank 1. Among other things, this involves a combination of Chabauty's method with the Mordell-Weil sieve.
